Cedar Roof Cleaning, Repair & Restoration
I am proud of my long history and vast experience in the wood roofing industry. In an era where people change jobs and careers several times through out their life times, I am proud of the fact that cedar roofing is the only career I have ever known. My story starts in 1981. Seventeen years old, fresh out of high school and needing a job, I found employment as a wood roof installer through a relatives cedar shake distribution business called Midwest Cedar Shake Supply which was then located in Maple Plain , Mn.
For the next 13 years I installed cedar shake and shingle roofs on homes in the Minneapolis and surrounding areas. During these years I personally performed over 500 cedar roof installations. In the early 1990’s my attention turned towards roof leak troubleshooting and repair. My extensive back ground in roof construction and installation gave me a distinct advantage in solving my customer’s roof problems, and I quickly developed an excellent reputation as a top-notch trouble shooter, especially in the area of wood roofs.
In the early summer of 1999 I was contacted by George Entrikin, then the owner and founder of the Old Town Cedar roof restoration business. George informed me of his interest to move his family back up north and subsequently was looking for a buyer for the Old Town Cedar business. I knew the reputation of George and the Old Town Cedar was excellent, and ultimately purchased this business and took control of the company in the fall of 1999. Since its inception in 1989, Old Town Cedar has cleaned, repaired and restored over 1,00 cedar roofs in the Minneapolis, St Paul and greater Minnesota areas. Together with my wife Sharon, we continue to offer quality cedar roof cleaning and restoration services from our Elk River location.
The wood roofing industry truly has been my life’s work. My extensive experience in the wood roofing industry dating back to 1981 is unsurpassed by our competition. My commitment to our client’s best interest is second to none. I am both lucky and grateful to have developed so many wonderful and long lasting friendships with our past customers. To our future customers I have not yet had the pleasure to meet I am looking forward to the opportunity to serve you.
