Recently I reflected back to that first spring and what we went through to find a company to repair and restore out shake roof. Five companies were called to inspect and advise what needed to be done and what the cost would be. Out of these five companies, Old Town Cedar was the only company we felt was the most qualified. Your knowledge, experience, concern and professionalism far exceeded that of the others.
As luck would have it, a business associate of mine that me that Old Town Cedar had repaired the shake roofs on two of his homes and was very satisfied, highly recommending Dale Sloper. Once you started on our roof, you were here and worked with your men to instruct exactly what needed to be done and at the end of each day, you personally inspected and checked the work that was done. It was so much appreciated that they cleaned up the yard and washed the deck before they left for the day.
Dale, your annual roof inspection and maintenance program is an excellent program. It gives us the confidence that the roof will not return to its poor condition as it was prior to 2004. We like the fact that it is auto automatically scheduled and at a very reasonable price.

I have remained a loyal customer of Old Town Cedar for several reasons. As I wrote that last sentence it has suddenly occurred to me that I am really a loyal customer to Dale Sloper, the person, more so than to Old Town Cedarthe company. You, personally, make a difference to me. The quality of service you offer is high in all aspects. My phone calls are always returned promptly. You show up at the scheduled times. You give me a clear description of the work to be done as well as the related cost. The craftsmanship you provide is excellent. You stand behind your work. Once when I had a leak in my ceiling, you came right out the next day. I really appreciated that. You take the time to do the job right. I respect your knowledge and I trust your judgment.

Your sealing of the roof on our home in Edina was an excellent job-the Amteco product you used was far superior to the very good CWF product that we had previously used. As of course you are aware, our street is a testimonial to your sealing work. Home after home on our street has used your service in protecting their cedar roofs.
Returning from a weekend at our lake home near Brainerd, I comment to my wife that your hand split roofing of that property, is the most successful project that I have ever been involved in completing (I have built 9 homes). Your workmanship is flawless.
Again, I do thank you for a beautiful hand split roof we enjoy on our cabin.

As you know, Bonnie and I have been very pleased with the service that you have provided over the years. The previous owners of our home had neglected to oil their roof and to replace shakes as needed. Your work saved us from having to replace the roof, the unhappy fate of one of our next door neighbors, and is an expense that we could ill afford.
We have appreciated your frank and honest assessment of the roofs remaining service life, as it has allowed us to put money away in the “rainy day” fund for the day when all good roofs come to their useful end. While there are no guarantees as to the number of years that a roof has left, you should market not just the savings realized from not having to replace the roof in the short term, but also in publicizing the longer term budget planning your expert service enables. Being able to plan cash flow and avoid borrowing money for a major roof replacement is considerable savings in itself. Customers should be advised to think of the price of your service not just as maintenance but also in terms of budget planning.
For most people, a major unexpected building expense is an economic burden that can set back family finances. Your service not only creates a beautiful and sound roof, but helps to avoid the unexpected. We look fore ward to using your services again.

I specially selected Old Town Cedar because I needed a specialist in shake roofing. I did not want someone to just come and do the work. I wanted to know the “whys” so I could understand how to care for the roof and shakes properly. And you are located in the general area of Osseo.
I was so appreciative of the written information given to me by you (which I have kept) that told me about shake roofs and their maintenance. I also drank in every word you said about shake roofs vs shingle roofs and the care they needed.
I also really liked the annual roof maintenance agreement which to me is so logical and prolongs the life of the roof, yet replaces the bad shakes on an annual basis. And when you come, you also give me an idea as to how long the roof should last, when I might need to start thinking about redoing.
It is the caring and personal service that I appreciate.

The roof looks wonderful, almost like new. Best of all, the work was done on time as promised, the clean up immaculate, the repair-work done very professionally and expertly. After viewing our roof again today, I know we will use Old Town Cedar in the future for maintenance. Certainly I would have no problem, what so ever, recommending you to friends and neighbors.

I just wanted to let you know that we are very pleased with the work Old Town Cedar did on the building we own on Minnetonka Boulevard.
As you know, we had the cedar shakes on the roof cleaned, in conjunction with some general repair and maintenance to the building. The cleaning has enhanced the appearance of the building tremendously. The tenants were not disrupted at all during the work, and are also very pleased with the “like new” appearance of the building.

Both Mary and I have been very impressed with the cedar roof which you installed and maintain every year. Your work has always been very professional and neat. It is almost like you and your guys are working on your own home. So many people comment on how the roof looks. Your advice on when to oil, stain and replace shingles keeps the roof looking great.
